Why don’t people have the decency to say “thank you” when the door is held open for them? Would they prefer to have the door shut in front of their face? I do have places to be, but still take the time to hold the door open if someone is coming in/out after me. A simple act of appreciation by those walking through would be appreciated.

I agree 100%. My issue is slow walkers. You are a few paces ahead. You hold the door and the slow walker is taking their sweet time to get to the door. WALK FASTER!
